Referencing and vetting

Referencing and vetting

As well as completing our questionnaire, it’s important that you familiarise yourself with our referencing and vetting process and get started as soon as possible to avoid any delays in your application. Here’s what you need to do:

TO DO NOW – Request your 5-year employment history directly from HMRC.

If your application is successful, this document will be needed as part of the referencing process post offer and will also assist you in completing the online Referencing form. It can take 40 days to arrive and only you can request it. Contact HMRC either by phone, 0300 200 3300, or HMRC website https://www.gov.uk/get-proof-employment-history to download and complete the application form and send it to HMRC (the address is on the form).

TO DO LATER – Complete our online Referencing and Vetting Form

When you have your employment history letter from HMRC, you’ll need to complete our online Referencing and Vetting form. You don’t need to worry about this until after you’ve successfully completed the Assessment Centre stage of your application process though. For now, just focus on completing the questionnaire and getting your employment history letter from HMRC.
